It is the least glamorous reno you can do for your home and therefore I was not looking forward to sourcing a roofer in a post-pandemic, inflation-impacted world. I got a wide range of quotes but luckily our neighbours across the street had just gotten their roof replaced and referred me to BNS. Silvi was a very personable and straightforward guy. No nonsense, no unnecessary upsells, just a straight shooter who had a long list of references to back up his work. His quote was fair and reasonable and he let me know up front of any potential additional costs that may come my way once they tore off all the shingles (you can't expect them to quote for work that they can't see). With this information, I was able to factor those potential costs into my budget. How did they do? Amazingly! Silvi's team, comprising of himself, Keno and Peter were consummate professionals. It was a two day job and each day they arrived on time, ready to go. Great care was taken to protect our property while they executed their job with precision. When all the shingles were removed, they invited me to come up to the roof to see the damage they had identified. Some of it I expected, some if it had me shocked. Silvi talked through the options and quoted me the price to address the issues. I was very thankful that roofing (and not just shingling) was their livelihood as they've dealt with these situations many times in the past and could handle it right away without having to pause the job to source specialists. Since I had already built in enough buffer into my budget, I didn't have any sticker shock and the team was able to complete the job on time. I am extremely satisfied with the work that the BNS team did for my home.
