## About
We are a family operated business that has been in the building industry for multiple decades. What we wanted to create with Creation Homes was to build something more than just pretty. More than just a typical house in the suburbs or in a rural setting. We wanted to create a home for families. Something that, every time you look at it, brings back memories. We focus on bringing what is most important to us all; comfort and peace of mind through quality, value and energy efficiency. With that in mind, we sought out to find the best combinations to achieve this goal and mold it to our vision. Through craftsmanship and attention to detail, we could create what Creation Homes really means to us. We care about the work we do because it's our passion and through passion, we always find ways to flourish. Just like family, we are always a phone call away. Welcome Home

## Before you hire a builder
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Never pay a large deposit up front. Agree a staged payment schedule tied to completed milestones, and hold a small retention until snagging is done.
- Get it in writing: an itemized quote with scope, materials, start and finish dates, and how any changes (variations) will be priced.
- Be wary of a cash-only price or pressure to start tomorrow. Both are red flags for an unaccountable job.
- Trade licensing in Canada is set by each province or territory. Electrical, gas and plumbing are licensed trades almost everywhere (for example ESA for electrical and TSSA for gas in Ontario), so check your provincial regulator that the contractor is certified for the work before you hire.
- A construction lien is a real risk: in every province an unpaid subcontractor or supplier can register a lien against your home even if you already paid the main contractor. Hold back the statutory amount (commonly around 10%) and get signed lien waivers as you pay.
