## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this contractor's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "Mike was amazing! He called seconds after the job was posted and had availability for the same day. He was professional, courteous, and fair. I would highly recommend him for any electrical services."

> "He is by far the best electrician I have ever used, and I have used several. He replaced my back outlet and even got to the root cause of an issue in my kitchen. I have definitely saved his name and number and will use him for all future jobs. He was very punctual and personable. All in all, best experience ever. Thanks again Mike for everything."

> "Mike reviewed the project and explained all steps involved to install a dedicated outlet for a stand-up freezer. The challenge being a finished basement and minimizing the cutouts required for fishing the electrical wire from the breaker panel to the room with the freezer. Mike's planning and skill limited drywall repairs. He was conscientious in cleaning up after his work. Mike also removed some electrical add-ons that I no longer needed. Because this was a new dedicated electrical line, Mike also setup the appointment for the ESA inspector to come into to review the completed project. I already have a future project for Mike and highly recommend to anyone who is looking for an electrical contractor who want to do things the right way!"

## Before you hire an electrician
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Trade licensing in Canada is set by each province or territory. Electrical, gas and plumbing are licensed trades almost everywhere (for example ESA for electrical and TSSA for gas in Ontario), so check your provincial regulator that the contractor is certified for the work before you hire.
- A construction lien is a real risk: in every province an unpaid subcontractor or supplier can register a lien against your home even if you already paid the main contractor. Hold back the statutory amount (commonly around 10%) and get signed lien waivers as you pay.
- Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
- Check any credential evidence, and that the business details independently check out.
- Get a written quote and keep guarantee, insurance and payment terms in writing.
