But is very realistic about where to draw the line, when a repair or replacement part is unlikely to succeed, or will cost too much. He is knowledgeable, and transparent about the cost of parts and his sources for them. It became apparent that beyond one simple fix that we agreed to try, but that sadly didn't work, our 13-year old fridge/freezer was going to be very expensive to fix, IF the parts were available.
