## In customers' own words
_Verbatim quotes from this contractor's public reviews, each attributed to its source:_
> "Had our shingle roof replaced and attic insulation topped up - great improvement! The team was fast and professional. New roof looks amazing and adds protection, while the insulation makes the house more comfortable and energy-efficient. Highly recommend!"

> "Guys were punctual, friendly and professional. Service from the office side was also very prompt and easy to deal with. Kinda wish I went with Professional Roofers for my initial roof replacement vs. my previous roofer who closed out their business and were obviously unable to provide warranty service as a result. Would use again and would recommend."

## Before you hire a plumber
_What to check when choosing this kind of trade (general guidance, not a claim about this business):_
- Agree the call-out fee, the hourly or fixed rate, and whether parts are charged on top, in writing, before an emergency plumber starts. Out-of-hours overcharging and 'while I'm here' add-ons are common complaints.
- Be wary of a plumber who, on a first visit, says your whole system or boiler must be replaced. Get a second opinion and an itemized quote (parts and labour separately) before agreeing to major work.
- Gas work is licensed separately from general plumbing in every province. Make sure anyone working on a gas appliance or gas line holds the gas certification your province requires, and ask for proof of that certification before they start.
- Trade licensing in Canada is set by each province or territory. Electrical, gas and plumbing are licensed trades almost everywhere (for example ESA for electrical and TSSA for gas in Ontario), so check your provincial regulator that the contractor is certified for the work before you hire.
- A construction lien is a real risk: in every province an unpaid subcontractor or supplier can register a lien against your home even if you already paid the main contractor. Hold back the statutory amount (commonly around 10%) and get signed lien waivers as you pay.
