June 13, 2019 Had an emergency plumbing issue at night, emergency plumber came at 2:30am and was able to shut off the seized valve. When I called back to have the plumber come to fix the valve issue, as I had to go out of town for work for a week, they had a plumber over in less than 2 hours! Great company with great employees.

March 3, 2015 ### After 10 days wit... After 10 days without water, I finally have water. The service guys were courteous, and hard working and finally my water came. It took some time as it was frozen quite a distance from the house. Thanks to your team of 3.:)

October 21, 2014 ### GOOD JOB! I hired A Rescue Rooter to do a camera inspection of the lateral sewer of my property which resulted in finding out that the public portion was broken and in urgent need of being replaced. I was very satisfied with the efficient way the inspection was conducted and with the interest and effort from Rodger to immediately get in touch with the City of Hamilton and try to obtain from them the urgent replacement of the pipes, which it was done the same day! I amply recommend A Rescue Rooter

February 8, 2012 ### GREAT JOB! GREAT COMPANY We have just finished having our back water valve done by Rescue Rooter. They did a great job from start to finish. Tony, Dave, and Frankie came in first to put in the actual back water valve in the floor. They were all very professional and very neat. They covered the floors where they were they were coming in and out of the house and working. They kept me informed of what was being done and what follow up was going to be done. They were great and left no mess behind inside our out of the house. Roger came in today to do the follow up scoping and video needed for the city and was just as good. When he found areas of the sewer that need repair, that are located on city property, he marked the locations outside, called in Tony to see what was going on, and they gave us the information needed to have the city come to repair these areas. I have dealt with other sewer repair compaqnies in the city in the past, but won\`t go back to them. You couldn\`t ask for a better company to deal with! Way to go!!!

Worth checking yourself
Only a few public reviews are shown. Ask for recent references you can contact.
Their public evidence comes from a single source. Look them up on another site before deciding.
Trade licensing in Canada is set by each province or territory. Electrical, gas and plumbing are licensed trades almost everywhere (for example ESA for electrical and TSSA for gas in Ontario), so check your provincial regulator that the contractor is certified for the work before you hire.
A construction lien is a real risk: in every province an unpaid subcontractor or supplier can register a lien against your home even if you already paid the main contractor. Hold back the statutory amount (commonly around 10%) and get signed lien waivers as you pay.
Look for consistent reviews across several named sources, not one polished profile.
