Dwayne and Billy did a great job with some water damage in my garage. They took the time to do things properly - suggesting some extra time for drying even though it meant they needed to come back again. They left the site very neat as well. The whole process from quote to completion was pleasant, and I would use them again.

Dwayne was amazing. Not only was he knowledgeable he really took the time to help my husband and I feel less anxious dealing with our issue. One of the reasons we bought a new home was to not have to worry about repairs. He gave us reassurance that although these things can happen they can also be fixed without the need for any further worry. He handled the repair amazingly and restored the area that was water damaged as if it never happened. My husband and I are very happy with the work. Thanks Dwayne and the home upgraders.

Dwayne was great. 10 months on and the basement is still dry. Also, we encountered some unexpected foundation issue (to put it mildly) and were able to pivot and resolve those while the waterproofing trench was still open. That likely saved me thousands.

We were initially interested a drywall installation after water damage in our powder room. Dwayne’s approachable attitude and professionalism put us at ease and we trusted him will a full renovation of the powder room. He demonstrated outstanding service, technical expertise, and attention to detail. Dwayne understood our requirements and delivered and exceeded our expectations. The project was completed within budget, with clear communication throughout each phase. It’s rare to find a contractor that combines quality, reliability, and customer service. We look forward to working with Dwayne and the Home Upgraders again and highly recommend them.

Worth checking yourself
Only a few public reviews are shown. Ask for recent references you can contact.
Their public evidence comes from a single source. Look them up on another site before deciding.
No credentials are shown here and the business has not claimed this profile. Ask to see certificates and insurance directly.
Trade licensing in Canada is set by each province or territory. Electrical, gas and plumbing are licensed trades almost everywhere (for example ESA for electrical and TSSA for gas in Ontario), so check your provincial regulator that the contractor is certified for the work before you hire.
A construction lien is a real risk: in every province an unpaid subcontractor or supplier can register a lien against your home even if you already paid the main contractor. Hold back the statutory amount (commonly around 10%) and get signed lien waivers as you pay.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
