Van Ziffle Architects (VZA) is a full service architectural firm currently focused on compelling residential design. We are involved in a number of projects that range from single family custom homes to complex mixed use urban infill. VZA advocates for sustainable design and inclusivity resulting in a studio approach favoring innovation and outside the box solutions. We value community, culture, and human expression and see the architectural process as an opportunity to push boundaries and reinvent norms. As an emerging practice, VZA values our client relationship above all and we strive to tailor our design process to the specific objectives each opportunity presents. We often play a role early on in a given projects conception, participating in site selection, preliminary analysis and due diligence and continue on through design, approvals, construction and commissioning. Our goal is to consistently exceed expectations by facilitating a creative process that results in truly exceptional architecture. The practice is led by founding Principal Eric Van Ziffle, a licensed Architect with over 10 years of experience ranging from large scale master planned campus projects to bespoke private residences. Eric is also a dedicated educator and continues to teach within the Faculty of Environmental Design at the Ontario College of Art and Design. He has been involved in various core studios as well as technical building science courses providing an invaluable opportunity to explore and test architectural concepts as well as maintain engagement within current academic research and design theory.
