Installation was completed in one day - and the place was cleaned very well after the job was completed. We needed one minor adjustment to the cabinets (that I forgot to request the day of the installation) which was accommodated very graciously on a subsequent day and at no additional cost. It's been a few weeks now and every time we glance over at these cabinets they fill us with pride. Thank you! And we highly recommend Black Forest Woodworking!”

Fireplace mantle with stone
We love our new fireplace, it transforms the space. Istvan was able to provide consultation on the best approach to achieve the results we wanted while being clear about any costs for the different options. He was always timely with his responses and ensured the process moved swiftly and smoothly. We hope to work together again in the future.
Built-ins - Better than expected!
Istvan was great from the start. He was clear in his quote and worked with us to come up with practical solutions while making it would look great. We were incredibly happy with the end result and get compliments all the time. Thanks again

Custom Cabinet for Office
I recently had the pleasure of working with Black Forest Woodworking for custom cabinetry in my home, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, Istvan's professionalism, craftsmanship and attention to detail was incredible. During our initial consultation, he took the time to understand my needs and provided thoughtful suggestions that ultimately made the piece really come to life. He sketched out the entire design to ensure I was happy with the design before moving forward. During installation, Istvan and his crew were punctual and completed the installation fairly quickly. He also was super accommodating when I had picked up standing desk legs that did not fit with the original design. He took the time to consult with a welder so that we could make it work. The cabinetry itself is absolutely stunning - even better than what I had imagined. It has clean lines, beautiful finishes and exceptional functionality. It is clear that Istvan and his team take great pride in their work. I will absolutely use them again for future projects and recommend them to my friends and family!
Custom built ins
Steven , owner of Black Forest Woodworking, is an exceptionally talented craftsman. He has designed and built cabinets and fireplace makeover for us in several rooms . He is meticulous in his work. He has always surpassed our expectations! He is honest and adheres to our agreed upon schedule. His prices are excellent in this competitive market. We would never look anywhere else for custom built ins . First rate in every category!

Fireplace Buildout
Istvan was amazing to work with and I am beyond thrilled with my new fireplace buildout. His customer service was excellent and made sure I was happy with every detail of the project. Istvan and Tony were extremely courteous during the installation and respectful of my home. Do not hesitate to work with Istvan on your next project! If I could give a higher rating than 10/10 I would.
Custom wall unit
Istvan did an amazing job with a custom wall unit for me. He was very good at setting expectations and delivered when she said he would deliver. They quality was very high ( much better than previous custom woodworking professional ) and even t went above the call of duty to made some modifications on site that were not part of the original. Hire Istvan with confidence, he works hard to make sure things are done right!
Great job at a reasonable price!
I needed a custom floating vanity and cabinet above my toilet. This had proven to be more challenging than anticipated. Istvan and BFWW were incredible to work with. Supportive in the decision making process and ontime/budget for the cabinet. The install was done quickly and professionally. Simply put 10/10 would and will be recommending!
Book shelf built ins and custom cabinetry
I couldn't be happier with the work provided by Black Forest. We wanted to have a set of book shelves and a set of custom built ins constructed around our fireplace. The work completed by Istvan far exceeds our expectations. Istvan was attentive to our needs throughout the entire process, his quote for the work was reasonable, and the shelves themselves are extremely well built. I have already recommended Black Forest to my friends and family and I will be having them return to my home to complete some other projects.
Wall unit
So extremely happy with my wall unit! Its stunning and the workmanship is top notch. István was so professional and super nice. He accommodated my schedule and completed the job to perfection and quickly. I highly recommend!! I cant thank you enough!!!
Custom cabinets and bench
It was a pleasure to work with István and the end product exceeded our high expectations. Black Forest Woodworking was recommended by a friend, and now we know why! We really appreciated István's professionalism, timeliness, communication, and friendliness. István visited our home, took measurements and provided expert suggestions on what would work in our space. On the days of the build, his team arrived on time, worked efficiently but took time to ensure all the finishes were perfect. The end product exceeded our expectations. He was able to work with all of the odd angles of the house, and made our living space so much more functional. Attached are the before and after photos. Thank you István, we would definitely work with you on any future projects!
Fireplace Mantel Build/Install
I wanted to install a custom fireplace mantel that would work with a TV above in a very limited space. I chose Black Forest Woodworking because they had a great portfolio of similar small projects and because Istvan spoke about the work as a craft versus a service. He understood my thumbnail drawings, listened to concerns, offered solutions, kept me in the loop on all the details, and executed with utmost precision. Istvan is a professional, a craftsman, and all around nice person. We would recommend him to our friends and hire him again! Now, to hang the new tv...
Living room built-ins
Istvan did a fantastic job designing our fireplace mantle and built-ins. He was a pleasure to work with, collaborated well on our design, and gave good advice throughout the process. Cost was reasonable as well. We LOVE how they turned out as well! Highly recommend!
Exceeded all high expectations
Istvan was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He was making cabinet doors for existing cabinets, and was able to work wonders to make the doors fit. He communicated with us at every step of the way, and delivered the product within the timeframe provided. He is friendly, has great attention to details and beautiful craftsmanship. Highly recommend!
