Although Declan was hired initially only for flooring, I expanded the scope of the project as he stated he was a GC. I was disappointed with the work. He was onsite for a few minutes some days and late a lot, even though we planned our meetings around my work schedule. The flooring/stairs was below standards I would expect from other contractors I worked with. Top nosing broke and tenant fell. He didn't even respond to texts or offer repair. He eventually agreed to refund 25% owing on the flooring as I would need to get someone else in to fix this but he never refunded this back. His subcontractor came 3 times and did not fix the stairs. Left the stairs unglued with my tenant's mover and my handyman tripping and falling. Ikea kitchen installer he hired left all boxes thrown in a closet. I was told that as he did not buy the kitchen, he did not have to dispose of them. Came back and cleaned poor grout lines and some grout was even missing. Left open drywall behind stove (not code).

After severe water damage to our basement and lengthy delays from our insurance company, we found Celtic Finishes through HomeStar. We chose them over 3 others due to the price-point and their great reviews, (the work involved levelling a 100-yr old basement floor, porcelain tiling, framing, drywall and ceiling repair). Declan was extremely fair in his pricing and stuck meticulously to the estimate. His work teams were a delight. Bravo to Saaed, Joan, Mo, Glenn, Randy and others. they were clean, efficient, cheerful and super timely in getting the full job done. All the work was done in 20 days. I wish we could give Declan and his team more than 10 stars, We will definitely recommend them to others and, if needed, use them again.
