Forever Masonry

Forever Masonry may be one of Ottawa's best kept secrets. We've now completed three contracts with Forever Masonry (parging, foundation repointing, and back foundation cement work). This review reflects the three contracts. Consider yourself (and your home) extremely fortunate if you manage to hire Anton and his team for any masonry work - peace of mind is an understatement. Our home is an over century year old home - all original everything, brick and stone foundation (i.e., care required and most importantly expertise in fine restoration and its "era" needed - Anton with one look, can figure out the year of the brick and stone and match it) - besides being a delight to have onsite - the team is respectful of the property (e.g., existing landscaping), the neighbours (they all got to know the team), community (especially any dogs), and the client. Anton keeps the client in the loop and even provides easy to understand explanations for any client keen on learning more about masonry (you will also find him supporting and teaching/advancing each member of his team). The quality of their workmanship is in a class unto itself - they know what they're doing - we've worked with a previous masonry company (over a decade ago) and the difference is night/day from that experience. Forever Masonry completed the work on time, on budget and they even provided advice on how best to maintain surfaces and mitigate future issues/damages (e.g., eavestroughing) caused by water. Forever Masonry is recommended with absolutely ZERO reservations. If you have a masonry problem - they will be able to solve it (in the most cost effective way possible - Anton and his team understand realities). We needed some parging done around our house and the result was excellent. The crew got the job done on time and on budget. We will definitely be using them again when required.

We needed to change 5 of our brick window sills last year. We wanted limestone window sills because limestone does not deteriorate as fast as brick or concrete even though it is more expensive. We were very pleased with the work they did. It is very hard to find companies in Ottawa that actually care about their customers. Anton came when he told he would, was very knowledgeable and the information he provided us with was consistent with what we had read (other companies told us concrete would last as long as limestone). They started the work earlier than expected, were done after 2 days, did small brick repairs we did not ask him to do as part of the work and cleaned everything at the end of both days (driveway, doors, windows). Anton is hard working and is proud of what he does. Best company we have hired in the last years.

Forever Masonry just completed new concrete stairs for the front entrance to my house. The previous stairs were in poor condition, cracking and crumbling away. Anton and his brother Jacob demolished the old stairs and poured new stairs, and I am incredibly impressed with the job they did. The finished stairs look better than I was imagining, and I’ve had neighbours comment on the high quality of the concrete work. My entire experience with Forever Masonry was excellent. The quote was very reasonable, especially considering the high quality of work. Anton and Jacob both have a lot of knowledge about their craft. They clearly thought out every important detail and did a great job explaining everything and keeping me updated on their progress. They were also very tidy – every evening before they left, they cleaned up the work site, and during the day took great care to minimize their impact on the surrounding area -- I’m fairly certain my driveway and the road in front of the house are now cleaner than before they started the job. Overall, I would highly recommend Forever Masonry, without reservation. Anton is committed to customer satisfaction and will do the job on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality. Anton was very forth coming, explained everything that needed to be done and did it very well! Anton and Jacob were quite interested in showing me what was being done as the job progressed and explained the steps and materials used. Once finished my chimney looked better than new and the surrounding area was cleaner than it was when they got there. Great Job!
