Parliament Contracting

I hired Tyler and his team at Parliament Contracting this summer for a fairly big job that involved installing new soffit, fascia, plywood, insulation and cement fibre siding on my 70 year old house. I am very pleased with the level of service I received, and with the outcome of the project. Tyler and team estimated about 10-12 working days to complete the project (minus rainy days, of course) and they nailed the timeline perfectly (pardon the pun). All throughout the process, the team communicated with me closely, and when my old house posed unforeseen challenges, they helped me navigate the situation in order to arrive at important decisions. The team showed up on time every single morning, was respectful both to me and my neighbours, and above all, was very thorough and detail oriented in their work. I have no hesitation in posting a 10 out of 10 rating for my experience with Parliament Contracting, and I have advised Tyler that I will be contacting him first when I replace my roof within the next five years. We had a leak before Parliament installed a new roof for us. Four years later, the leak resumed and a second leak appeared. One of the owners visited and, because of the snow on the roof, was unable to diagnose the problem. He did not go up into our attic. He mentioned several possible causes, including a poorly installed window. He said he would return in the spring if the leak continued. In the spring I called and was told quite firmly by the other owner that the problem was the window--the problem was not the roof. No one would come to look at the problem. No one would go up into our attic. We replaced the window, but the second leak continued (this was the leak that appeared after Parliament replaced the roof). This time, the owners told us that the problem was our siding. We spent tens of thousands of dollars replacing the siding, but the second leak continued. When I complained to the siding company, they sent someone up into our attic to diagnose the problem (something that Parliament had not done, despite our repeated complaints about the leaks). It turned out that the problem was a mushroom vent that Parliament had installed. It was too short and snow was getting into our attic. We paid the siding people several thousand dollars to replace the vent and repair the ceiling (now covered in mould). I reported this outcome in an email to Parliament but received no response.

the prince was competitive. There was great communication and the work was done to hight standards. The crew was efficient, neat, considerate (e.g. no smoking or noisy radio) and worked with minimal disruption. It was a first rate job and a pleasure to have them do it.

The team at Parliament were prompt and very professional with the removal of my old siding and installing exterior foam insulation and new siding at my home. I appreciated the quick communication and attention to detail leading up to and during the installation. I really noticed a difference in heat retention after the upgrades.

After much research, we hired Parliament Contracting to remove the siding from our 38 year old home and replace it with Gentek Sequoia Select D4.5 ultra-premium vinyl siding with 1 IKO Enerair polyiso insulation. We cant begin to explain how we appreciated the professionalism and attention to detail practiced by Tyler, Liam and the crew at every stage of this major renovation. Not only did they do an outstanding job, they were polite, patient and reassuring while answering our many questions. When they came across construction issues (such as rotting plywood around the windows), they were addressed and remediated promptly. The job was completed on budget, in a timely manner and the site was left impeccable each day. We are so happy with the results and have had many compliments. We would highly recommend Parliament Contracting!
