K Wood Kitchens and Bath

NOTE: the amount cited above includes the cost of fixtures that we purchased from the fixture suppliers. It has been a year since we remodeled our bathroom with the help of K-Wood Kitchens. We love it as much now as on the first day of completion! When we decided that the main bathroom in our 1960s era house needed an upgrade, we consulted with neighbours who had had renovations done in their similar houses. This enquiry produced a short list of two suppliers, one of which was K-Wood Kitchens. We viewed the work that each supplier had done in our neighbours homes. Both were excellent, so we requested quotes from each. K-Woods quote was substantially more expensive, but the consultative offering that included 3D computer modelling to help us visualize our ideas more than made up the difference. In retrospect, now that we know how many decisions had to be made to produce the final result, we realize how lucky we were to have chosen K-Wood. K-Woods advisor Endrina accompanied us diligently along the decision path, sometimes providing samples herself and sometimes hooking us up with external partners to help us find the right fittings and fixtures. We are glad that we chose K-Wood Kitchens for our bathroom renovations and, should we have need for future renovations in our home, we would not hesitate to hire them again.

I was planning a kitchen renovation with K-Wood when an unexpected dishwasher malfunction made it necessary not only to expedite the project, but also to replace much of the flooring in our condo. Endrina made it all happen in impressive and timely fashion. She and her team were wonderful to work with - pleasant, responsive, helpful, and full of good ideas. The result is a beautiful, functional kitchen that we are enjoying very much.

We had our 20+ year ensuite bathroom totally gutted and redone. Simon from K-Wood and his team were fantastic! Professional, pleasant and easy to work with. They left the house spotless every day. The work is high quality and came within budget/original quote. The custom built vanity and cupboard give us tons of storage room. Any problems were resolved immediately. With our kitchen definitely showing its age, we decided to embark on a thorough renovation. The plan was to reproduce the basic layout with modern cabinets, countertops, appliances and lighting. We started the process by visiting the informative showroom at K-Wood Kitchens which we and close relatives had used a few times before. At the showroom, we contacted Ryan who had skillfully coordinated a previous project, and we arranged a site visit. On coming to our house, Ryan easily understood our concept and recommended some improvements that we approved and he incorporated in the preliminary drawings. The proposed layout mirrored the existing one with the notable exception of the removal of a bulkhead which enabled the cabinets to reach the ceiling. Another salient difference was the replacement of a built-in peninsula table by a free-standing table. With the assistance of K-Woods interior designer Endrina and the helpful samples in the showroom, the selection of materials and colors was effectively handled. Ryan prepared detailed design drawings and a schedule which his team fulfilled admirably. During the course of the project, the work crews worked diligently from early morning into the early evening. They made every effort to minimize dust by setting up plastic barriers and vacuuming throughout the project. Ryan was responsive to any concerns that we raised and dealt with them promptly. Our only criticism was that there were times when the sole crew member at our house did not speak English. Fortunately, however, we were always able to contact Ryan quickly and he would resolve the issue by talking to the team member on the phone. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the custom cabinets, quartz countertops with matching quartz backsplash, recessed and under-cabinet lights, as well as the installation workmanship. The entire project was handled professionally within the proposed timeline and budget. We highly recommend K-Wood and renovation coordinator Ryan.
