About: HANI is a designer based in Toronto. She co-founded her studio back home in 2003, where she earned her master's degree in architecture and practiced as a licensed architect. Her career path led her to Toronto, where she obtained a Bachelor of Interior Design with honors. Returning to school after many years of teaching architecture as a professor back home, she demonstrated an unwavering commitment to continuous learning and a strong desire to stay updated. However, her experience with remarkable projects and exposure to a wide range of materials and advanced technologies in Toronto prompted her to shift her career focus toward interior design and detailing. Hani received the Gery Hewson Memorial Award from ARIDO in 2020, highlighting her excellence in the field. With a deep commitment to the community, she served as the Career Xpress Committee Ambassador for ARIDO in 2021. Currently, she contributes as a member of the task force at ARIDO in 2023." Not a good experience working with Hani. Disadvantages: Unprofessional (Asks nationality and age) Lack of practical experience. Focused only on designing. Execution and cost estimation skills are missing. Doesn't give price estimation and wants 50% money before starting the project. Works on some part of the project by fixed price and some part of project by hourly rate. She doesn't say her hourly rate on call (250 cad/hour) before initial consultation which she charges 500 cad to come to your house and show her project pictures which are already on her website. Doesn't bring measuring device to measure the space and draw layout on initial consultation. Lack of ideas.
