I bought a newly-renovated house only to find that the HVAC system didn't cool the top floor or half of the main floor. There was also only 1 functional return duct in the entire house, which was tiny. While gathering quotes, Brad came in and offered a thoughtful and cost-effective plan for solving the problem. Over 2 days his crew selectively opened up the basement to solve the problem. They were able to get airflow to the first and second floors and add return ducts with minimal mess. They removed redundant ductwork which made my basement bedroom larger. Months later, the house was cold and the furnace was running 24/7 nonstop. Brad's tech return and thoroughly cleaned and adjusted the settings on the furnace. He worked with a camera crew I booked to inspect all the ducts and recommend repairs. He even purchased equipment that told us the ceiling and walls were under-insulated. I'm happy to say we're on a path to a warm home now thanks to Brad. Where others were trying to upsell me to replace my furnace, AC unit and tear open all the walls, Brad took the surgical approach and repaired the system. His attitude was always to solve the problem, not try to maximize how much I would spend. I'll never hire anyone else for HVAC work in Hamilton!

I just purchased the home and I had no air flow to the top floor, or to half of the main floor. Other contractors said that I'd have to replace the entire system, including the AC unit and furnace. Brad and his team worked through the problem carefully, recommending repairs that would have the most impact with the least amount of wall damage to repair. They did great work: clearing a blocked duct and installing return lines. The crew was courteous and went to great lengths to make everything work. They never tried to upsell or to pressure me into work I didn't need. Next time I need any HVAC service, I'll be calling them first. I strongly recommend Brad.

Brad was very responsive and efficient in fixing an issue with my furnace. He went out of his way to source the replacement part before closing and came on time to fix the issue. He is deeply knowledgeable, friendly, and gets the work done on time. Would recommend him for HVAC, furnace and other jobs in Hamilton, Burlington, and Oakville.

We hired Madek Mechanical for a heat pump install as part of the greener homes grant. Brad provided unbelieveable customer service. The whole team provided a quick, seamless install and were very respectful, personable, capable, and knowledgable. Highly recommend.

Trade licensing in Canada is set by each province or territory. Electrical, gas and plumbing are licensed trades almost everywhere (for example ESA for electrical and TSSA for gas in Ontario), so check your provincial regulator that the contractor is certified for the work before you hire.
A construction lien is a real risk: in every province an unpaid subcontractor or supplier can register a lien against your home even if you already paid the main contractor. Hold back the statutory amount (commonly around 10%) and get signed lien waivers as you pay.
Confirm they cover your area and can actually come out in your timeframe before anything else.
