Small Animals Pest Control (Squirrel, Raccoon & Possum)
Louis did wonderful job. He explained what he was doing at every step and why he was doing it. I learned so much about raccoons' behaviour, I almost felt bad about having them evicted from my attic :) The work was fast and clean, with great follow-up. I was so happy with the results, that I asked Louis and Dave to install vent and fascia protection, which was also done fast and clean. Since then I recommended Louis to other people, and all of them were very happy.
Small Animals Pest Control (Squirrel, Raccoon & Possum)
The service was quick, efficient and very humane. 3 baby racoons were removed from the attic and the entrances closed up. The babies were delivered to an animal shelter which was able to care for the racoons and nurse them so they could return to their natural habitat. Job professionally done. They were very polite and listened to your needs. After hour service was not expected but completed without hesitation. Thank you for your help.

Small Animals Pest Control (Squirrel, Raccoon & Possum)
I could not recommend Louie and his company more. We had a horrible red squirrel issue and he came right away and fixed it for me. He is SO kind, SO knowledgable and responded right away with any questions or concerns I had. A lot of these bigger animal control companies rip you off but he was completely genuine and just wanted to help. 10/10 recommend him.
keeping wildlife out of our home
Louis did a fantastic job to fix the entry points into our attic in order to keep the squirrels out, and also the mice from getting into our basement, and his previous work 7 years ago is still preventing raccoons from getting into our attic, so kudos for a great work! I highly recommend his services, he's very knowledgeable and a true professional.
Humanely Removing Squirrels - and Keeping Them Out!
Not for the first time, Ive had furry friends sharing the warmth produced by my house. The first time was a new family of mama and the cutest baby raccoons in my crawl space, and this time squirrels living under my solar panels. Both times Louis was a professional in humanely evicting them - and creatively and aesthetically blocking up access so that they stay out. When my next furry friends move in, Ill again call Louis!
Snake Removal
Louis helped us with snake removal in our backyard twice now. He is friendly and a pleasure to deal with. He humanely removed the snakes and offered suggestions and solutions to prevent return. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for wildlife removal!
Raccoon removal
Been hearing crawling sounds for past 2 months. Only until I heard animal sounds I realized something was up in attic. Louis came over to check it over and he was really polite and professional. Explained to us exactly what was going on after some inspection. We ended up soliciting his help and man I am a really happy customer. I love wild life but could not tolerate them living under the same hood. He also went above and beyond to help us fix some weak spots on the roof. Great work 10/10 definitely recommend to anyone for his service !
Baby Raccoon Removal from Attic and repair of outside soffit
Louis was very knowledgeable professional, courteous and diligent while working. He was able to come at 7pm and had the baby raccoons removed and the soffit fixed before 8pm. He was very humane with the animals and treated them with tenderness and ensured they were properly cared for. Louis also included the repairs in the original price of $395 plus HST. Such a gentleman with no price gauging and very respectful to all people. Thank you Louis for the great job!!
Racoon removal heros
Chris and his son are experts at what they do! they were fast and efficient and removed a fierce mother racoon and 5 babies safely from my attic! Other companies came and said that they could not get the babies out. This highly experienced team got the job done! Very grateful
Skunk removal
Louis was knowledgeable and very personable to work with. He went over and above to ensure my house was safe and skunk free. Also the animals were safe and moved on. Wildlife Roof Vent Protection
A squirrel managed to chew and rip off one of our roof box vent covers. Louis came and did a thorough walk-through, used a thermal scanner to make sure there were no offspring in the attic, and also went above and beyond by letting me know about condensation build-up at one part of the attic (provided video) as well as missing shingles. It was an absolute pleasure speaking with Louis, and we're extremely glad we found his contact here on HomeStars. He is honest, professional, and has a perfect work ethic. We have a one year old and Louis made sure to work with our schedule so there will be no disturbance during the little guy's nap time. I would definitely recommend A1 Checkmate Wildlife Removal & Prevention, without hesitation.
2 Racoons Removed from Attic
3 nights ago we heard scratching/rustling noises coming from our attic (near the back corner of our house). Upon inspecting the area from the outside, I saw a gaping hole in the soffit ... which I knew was not good. In turning on my flash light I could see a critter scurry into the hole ... damn! As we have used his services in the past, we knew exactly who to call (no not ghost busters), you guessed it Louis : ) As both my wife and myself were extremely concerned of our new findings, he was able to schedule a visit within 18 hours of our call. Upon his initial visit, he was able to extradite both well fed/large Racoons, and temporarily seal the point of entry with a one way trap (should any other rodents be there => providing them with a point of exit from the attic). Louis then surveyed the soffits & all roof areas of the entire house that were "prone for future rodent entry" to develop a plan preventing that from happening. He was back early next morning to permanently seal those areas of concern. However, prior to completing this work, he went back into the attic to recheck/ensure no more rodents. Based on the outstanding work completed by Louis we are 100% certain that our attic is now risk free of uninvited (now and future) rooming guests of not only racoons, but also: squirrels, chipmunks, bats, etc. In summary Louis is: prompt in his service; excellent in communicating his plans; offers great value for his service & provides exceptional quality of work. I couldn't recommend Louis highly enough.
